Hoping I’m Still a Kid

This weekend was more exhausting to me than it should have been. Saturday morning was a BMW Club special board meeting. When I left at around 2:00 the temperature gauge in my M3 read 102 degrees! I thought it was maybe in error but the temperature at the bank read 99 as I drove by.

Nevertheless I had work to do when I got home. I started detailing my daily driver, a 2001 Accord. It had been neglected for a while and it needed a LOT of work. I labored until about 8:00 and then finished up on Sunday morning. I then changed the oil in my M3 before heading over to the European Auto Show.

The European Auto Show is a fabulous annual event here in St. Louis. It’s for a great cause and draws a lot of interesting cars; everything from current exotics like Lamborghinis and Ferraris to older Austin Healeys. This year we were treated to this “Evil Jaguar” from an actual James Bond Movie. There was even a Porsche tractor there, but I doubt it would make good lap times at LeMans.

So why am I HOPING I’m still a kid?
